🏛️ Full Active Member

The core of the Justice Movement of India. Active members are citizens who have decided to take full ownership of the movement — participating in governance, campaigns, and the collective work of building a just society.

This is the first step to becoming an active member. Filling this form begins the process — it does not complete it.

“A movement is only as strong as its members. Active membership is not a title — it is a commitment to show up.”

What Active Membership Means

🗳️Internal DemocracyVote in your local unit's elections and resolutions. Your voice directly shapes JMI's direction at the chapter level.
📅Regular ParticipationAttend chapter meetings, community sessions, and campaigns. Active membership means showing up — consistently, not occasionally.
📣Campaign WorkTake part in JMI's issue-based campaigns — from RTI filings to public awareness drives to electoral accountability work.
🏘️Community BuildingHelp grow and strengthen your local unit — recruiting members, building relationships, and connecting with citizens in your ward or village.

Who This Is For

Any Indian citizen who believes in JMI's principles of Social, Economic, Political, and Environmental Justice — and is ready to act on that belief alongside others. No prior experience in activism or organising is required. Only commitment is.

Rights of Active Members

  • Vote in local chapter elections and resolutions
  • Stand for elected positions within your unit
  • Participate in all JMI programmes and campaigns
  • Raise issues and motions at chapter meetings
  • Access JMI's training, resources, and network

How Membership Works

Active membership is not a self-service sign-up. It is a deliberate, people-first process — because the movement is built on real relationships, not registrations.

01
Fill the Application Form

Submit the form above with your details and your reason for wanting to join. This is the starting point — not the finish line.

02
A Member Reaches Out

An existing active member from your local unit will call you. This is a conversation, not an interview — to understand who you are, where you are coming from, and how JMI can work with you.

03
Initial Orientation

Once the initial conversation is complete, you will be walked through JMI's structure, principles, and what active membership involves on the ground in your area.

04
Take the Pledge

The final step. You formally commit to JMI's principles and your responsibilities as a member by taking the pledge. Induction is then ratified by your local unit — and you become a full active member.
