🤝 Co-opted Member

JMI welcomes subject matter experts, activists, and advisors who want to contribute their knowledge and skills without taking on the full responsibilities of active membership. Co-opted members strengthen the movement from the outside.

“Justice requires more than passion — it requires expertise. Co-opted members bring the knowledge the movement needs to act effectively.”

What Co-option Means

Co-opted members participate in discussions, provide inputs on issues within their domain, and support JMI's work in ways that suit their availability and expertise. They do not hold internal voting rights or stand for elected positions, but their voice carries weight in the movement's deliberations.
